Day 7 - Do you read? What are your favorite books?

My attitude towards reading:

I've always loved reading, and can lose myself for hours in the right book.

My favourite books include:

Watership Down
Lord of the Rings
The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy Trilogy (all five books!).
Anything by Bill Bryson
The Da Vinci Code
The Harry Potter books
The Adrian Mole books
The Mists of Avalon

I also like most books by Terry Pratchett, Stephen King, Ben Elton and Alison Weir and the comic books, Calvin and Hobbes and Footrot Flats.

Nice list. :D

Oh, I have a question for you... I want to get back into reading books, and I've never read anything by Terry Pratchett, but I'm sure I would love his books. I've heard good stories about the Discworld series, but I'm not sure where to start. Any recommendations?

I have to be honest, I haven't read all of Terry Pratchett's novels. I've read about eight, and of the ones I've read, my favourites are Mort, Eric and Going Postal.

Terry Pratchett has developed a fantastic, intricate universe in Discworld, with it's own geography, civilisation, and characters so I'd probably suggest you started with the first novel, The Colour of Magic, to get the proper introduction to it all.

Thanks for the recs. My sister actually has The Colour of Magic, so I guess that's the best place to start. :D
