Two little drabbles written for the Fanfiction.net drabble challenge.  This weekend, the challenge word was 'hip'.

Sam sat at the table in the bunker's main hall, scowling as Dean's tuneless warbling drifted from the kitchen through the corridors.

"If you're going to San Francisco … be sure to wear some flowers in your hair …"

Gritting his teeth, he tried to focus, even though he knew that concentrating on his research was a lost cause.

"…this is the dawning of the age of Aquarius, age of Aquarius … AQUARIUUUUUUUUSSS …"

Sam groaned.

"… Hey Mr Tambourine man, play a song for me …"

"ALRIGHT!" Sam snapped, headbutting the table in desperation; "enough with the hippie songs already. You win. I'll get my damn hair cut tomorrow!"

Sam watched as Dean shovelled another spoonful of pie into his mouth, chewing lavishly and making seriously disturbing happy noises.

"A moment on the lips," Sam warned; "a lifetime on the hips."

Dean paused chewing momentarily, just long enough to acknowledge Sam's existence.

"My hips are jus' fine," he snorted through the cherry stained mush in his mouth.

"Is that why you've undone the top button of your jeans then?" Sam retorted.

Dean paused, looking down at his slightly gaping jeans, the faintest hint of a paunch protruding cheekily over the top of them.

"Ain't nothing to do with my hips," he sniffed dismissively.
