The book that I've been browsing through for the last few days is 'Turtle Recall' by Sir Terry Pratchett.

So, here goes ...

'The Great Bazonko has been clowning now for over four hundred years.'

Oooookay!  Pull up a chair, grab some popcorn.  My 2017 is gonna be one interesting year!!!

As I share Sam's lack of affinity for clowns, I'm not sure about your 2017. Interesting? Definitely!

I probably shouldn't have tried this at the office, since Zygmunt Bauman's "Does Ethics Have a Chance in a World of Consumers?" is bleak enough as it is. Yet "...conditions favorable to the pursuit of happiness so understood..." could have been worse.

Funnily enough, it'd be harder for me to read Pratchett. I love his ideas, but for some reason I can't get into his writing. Tried many approaches, but no. Sadly.

Bauman is extremely useful for many things, and he says a lot about ethics that is neat when applied to fandom and fans... He's a true humanitarian, and that helps a lot with the reading. :)
