Snowflake Day 5

So I've been out of circulation for a while, going up to the midlands yesterday to attend my work's annual conference, complete with dinner and dance in the evening. It was a fabulous evening; I had to get the posh frock out of mothballs, and I hit that dance floor and stayed there pretty much all night (I'm a rubbish dancer, I perpetrate the female version of Dad dancing, but I love doing it) and long story short, I ended up falling into bed at 3 am this morning, with my feet feeling like they'd been minced.
I had about three and a half hours sleep last night, and right now I'm starting to flag, so consequently, I'm probably not the most compos mentis I've ever been, so if this post doesn't make sense, I'll apologise in advance ...

Okay, so my first rec is this J2 fanfiction: Just one Breath by Kee.
The author has summarised it as 'Jensen sacrifices like Dean. Jared angsts like Sam' and that sums it up perfectly. It's one of my go to fanfictions if I ever want to sit down and devour a fairly long, well-written hurt/comfort story. I've read it several times and I can't recommend it enough!
My second rec is this Destiel fanfiction: Pies and Prejudice by Linoresearch
I'm a sucker for stories where the protagonists start out hating each other and gradually grow to respect, then like, then maybe even love each other. This is one such story. It's an AU story based around a show in the format of the Great British Bake Off where Dean is a dead end mechanic who enjoys baking as a hobby, and Castiel is an eccentric millionnaire with the social skills of his angelic namesake. !t's funny, sweet, and totally charming!
My third rec is this beautiful piece of art by Adangi called 'Healing'
This piece captivates me, and sends my little hurty comfort heart all of a flutter! The mood and soul of this picture simply takes my breath away.
