... Charge round the house searching for memory stick.
... Can't find it.
... Charge around some more, ranting and waving arms in comically Mediterranean fashion.
... Borrow Mr Dizzo's memory stick
... Take memory stick to laptop.
... Unplug my - apparently missing - memory stick from USB port in laptop to make room for one purloined from Mr D.
... Totally fail to realise the sheer absurdity of this for at least five minutes ...

That's like me going around wondering where in the world my phone is, when I find out that my phone is in my pocket. Or searching for keys to find out they are in my hand along with a couple other things.

That is just too funny. To actually take out the port from you computer that you were missing and sub in a new port. Brain cells were definitely not in use at this time. thanks for the laugh.

I giggled and daughter asked me what made me giggle. I told her of your plight. Her response, *shrug* "We all have off days."

I feel your pain though. I did a similar thing with the Telly remote. said remote now has Velcro adhered to the back and placed where I cannot lose it... at least for five minutes!
