A Brace of Drabbles

Here's a couple of little drabbles written for the DEW challenge (theme Aliens, characters Donna and Jodie), and for the Fanfic.net challenge (challenge word, eat).

MASTERCHEF

The bunker's great table groaned under the weight of the feast adorning it, and Sam's eyes widened as he scanned the expanse of food that Dean had prepared for Thanksgiving.

Centre of the table was a huge golden turkey, roasted to perfection and surrounded by steaming bowls of mashed potato, carrots, and cranberry sauce, together with more plates laden with cornbread, apple pie, pumpkin pie, and cherry pie.

The delicious aromas assaulting Sam's nose had him salivating to the point of death by dehydration.

"But-but Dean," he stammered; "we haven't invited anyone else!"

"I know," Dean grinned, rubbing his hands in glee; "let's eat!"

GIRLS' NIGHT IN

Jodie sighed and gave Donna a lopsided smile as she drained her wine glass.

On the TV, the closing credits of 'Independence Day' scrolled across the screen and Donna blinked as she lost the battle to focus on them.

"Y'know Jodes," she slurred amiably; "I d'no why films always show aliens as spindly and slimy."

"Yeah," Jodie agreed with a hiccup, as she refilled their glasses; "an' aggressive little bastards that wanna conquer Earth, and eat everyone."

They slumped back into the couch.

"Jus for once," Donna reflected, absently swirling the wine around her glass; "it'd be nice if they had aliens that were tall an' handsome."

Jodie grinned; "yeah, with long legs and broad shoulders, and … never mind."

"An' gravelly voices," Donna giggled.

"Sexy smiles," Jodie added, over a gulp of Chardonnay.

"with nice eyes," Donna continued.

"And nice asses," Jodie spluttered, dissolving into laughter.

"I'd SO watch that movie," Donna gasped, wiping away tears of mirth.

The two ladies fell silent for a moment.

"Hey Jodes," Donna exclaimed.

"Yeah," Jodie slurred.

"You do realise we just described the Winchesters, right?"

Jodie stared first at Donna, then at her glass.

"Shit," she mumbled; "how much have we had?"

AAAAAHHHHHH!!!! and also, BWA HA HA!!! These are so fucking BRILLIANT!! Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, I LOVE LOVE LOVE domestic!Dean and him cooking for Sammy, heeee and just YES!! *squees and flails*

AND I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW MUCH I FUCKING LOVE YOU FOR THE DONNA AND JODY!! You so nailed their voices SO bloody perfectly, and heeeeeeeeee I like cannot even with how perfect it is or the sheer giggle!squee it elicits!!

I love Masterchef Dean! I can imagine him wearing maternity pants like Joey in Friends, to make room for all the turkey and trimmings!

And I completely agree with Donna and Jody - if aliens do look like the Winchesters, I hope we get invaded...and probed, hee hee hee!!!
