100 Days of Happiness - Day 19

We had the pleasure of catching up with our friend Chris from New Zealand last week, and seeing her got me to thinking about all our other absent friends down in that magnificent part of the world.  So this post is dedicated to those people who, although they are a world away, still bring me immense joy every single day!

My friend Janet and my Goddaughters, Laura (in pink) and Amy.  Those two beautiful little girls are 17 and 14 now!!!

And not forgetting Jake who was as much a member of the gang as any single one of us humans!
Sadly, Jakey is no longer with us, but we'll always hold his memory with enormous fondness.

Your goddaughters are beautiful, Cameron looks like a great character and the lovely Jakey was huge! Thanks for sharing these, distance is no barrier to true friendship :)

My goddaughters are stunning, and so tall now!
Cameron is a big character, we always had fun together, and when Cam and his wife Wendy came to stay with us a couple of years ago, we picked up as if we had never left off :D

Jakey belonged to Cameron and Wendy and he was the sweetest dog you could imagine. We looked after him many times when Cam and Wendy went travelling, sometimes for a couple of months at a time, and he was a superstar. People used to cross the road to avoid him because he was so big, and I used to laugh at them. He would be more likely to lick you to death!

Totally. You'll get more trouble out of one Jack Russell than ten Great Danes!
