It's been a bloody long and frustrating week, and I'm knackered and my hopes of ever catching up on my F/list from before the weekend are receding into the realms of fantasy ...

Oh just work stuff. We've taken on a new rostering system that impacts heavily on the payroll and it's becoming patently clear that the providers haven't trained the users properly and so the data we're getting through is a mess. That means that we're having to spend hours checking and double checking everything and unravelling loads of figures that make no sense!I got in at 7 yesterday and at 8.30 tonight. And on top of that I've got artwork sitting untouched and behind schedule because I just haven't had time this week to work on it.
On the plus side, my new Manager is very appreciative and has told me to take an afternoon off after we complete payroll, so not all bad!!! :)

Ack, that is frustrating! But imagine if this had happened while Gus was in charge...at least at your new place you are being supported through the cock up and not blamed for it!

How frustrating and something that just has to be done as it's affecting payroll. But at least your new manager appreciates all your hard work, and hopefully you can catch up on a bit of LJ and/or artwork on that afternoon off!

We finally closed payroll this evening, talk about taking it down to the wire!!
There's lots of training taking place next month, including for us, so all being well, from next month onwards, things should gradually get a lot easier!

Now wouldn't it have been nice to have been trained before and not after! I think the providers owe your company at least an apology and at best a hefty refund.

Hopefully, with lots of training in place over the next few weeks (which should have been happening two months ago), things should start rolling out easier after this month. All done now, thankfully!
