dizzojayThe news broke today that Victoria wood has passed away aged 62. The bastard beast, cancer strikes again.
I'm not sure if my overseas friends will know who Victoria wood was, but she was, in short, a supremely talented and inspirational lady. Starting out as a comedienne, she went on to also become a writer, musician, actor, director and all round performer, and was excellent at all of them. The term, national treasure, is often over-used, but in this case, it was absolutely true.
