Dream job

I think it's probably not a surprise that my dream job would be something creative, involving art or writing.  I'm very lucky to be able to do my dream job to a certain degree with dapplegrey art.

Favourite childhood book

Depending on what stage of childhood we mean:

Early childhood - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Later childhood - Watership Down

Watership down continues to break me. I've read it once a year every year since I was about 14!

I'm pretty sure I've read Watership Down, but have no memory of it. I definitely need to get me a copy and read it. Charlie is always a fun book.

I've always loved Watership Down. I love the fact that it's about rabbits, and it's such a good meaty story, not at all cutesy and fluffy as you would expect a story about rabbits to be.

It's also nice that I live about thirty miles from Watership Down, so I can visualise all the landscapes Richard Adams talks about, because I've seen them!

Oh, that's so cool that you have seen the landscapes. I would imagine that really helps make the story come that much more alive for you.

It's great that you've been able to partly follow your creative dream job with your art and your stories, even if you do have to have a 9-5 job too!

Charlie and The Chocolate Factory is such a classic, but my favorite Roald Dahl is The BFG - from Sam's childhood rather than mine!

I don't think I've ever read the BFG, but I'm sure I would like that too. I've still got my childhood copy of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and every now and again, I just like to spend a couple of hours reading through it again!
