Someone I Know: Dave, my friend from way back in the eighties.

A Film I Like: the Dish: An Australian movie about the Parkes Telescope in New South Wales and the part it played in televising the moonwalk.  It's a clever, funny and absolutely delightful film with a gorgeous late-sixties soundtrack.

Yes, funds are an issue unfortunately. we've only been lucky enough to get there twice because we've got people over there and so don't have to pay for accommodation!

Of course you are afraid of the dark, rabid rabbits live there waiting to bite your ankles. If they bite you, they'll infect you with unwanted plot bunnies.

When you said Dish, my mind went to Soapdish, which I enjoy... mostly because of the ending. Won't spoil it if you have not seen it. RDJ was good in it though and was Sally Field.

I think everyone has a Dave or David in their lives... or maybe that's just me. :)

My plot bunnies are being frustratingly inactive at the moment. Too much else going on in RL :(
I wouldn't mind the darkness if the only thing waiting for me were plot bunnies!

I love "The Dish"!!! What an amazing little movie. Then again, it features Sam Neill, so there's that. ;-)
