That's easy - selling my first picture on the stall.

I had done pet portraits for people before, but this was different.  Rather than just doing a drawing that someone had asked for, this was someone I had never met before walking up out of the blue and parting with cash for a random one of my pictures, simply because they had seen it and they liked it.

Yes, being paid as an artist is a great feeling.
The picture wasn't inspired by Watership Down, although lots of people think that, and I can understand why. They're actually moongazing hares :)
