Have I mentioned before that this is one of my favourite episodes?
Maybe once - or twice?
Or maybe not at all?

I mean, Phantom Traveller has everything.  It's got, like, a plot and stuff but, well, just in case you need reminding why this is such a stonking episode, here's a little reminder ...

I completely agree with your views about this episode it was STONKING! And yes, "The bedhead is magnificent and should be celebrated at every possible opportunity"!

And of course the long-shot of Dean's body, it's the most perfect view of the most perfect body, ever!

I'm choosing non-scary episodes to get Brenda more into SPN and I think this will be on the list!

That long camera shot is evil. It's what I blame for my entire Supernatural/Jensen obsession!

They certainly know how to make Jensen and Jared look even more amazing than they already are and that long camera shot was one of the best examples! It set off thousands of Dean obsessions!

Phantom Traveler is one of my faves, too, for some of the reasons mentioned above. I say "some" because I hadn't considered quite a few of them until now, as you pointed them out in such detail. For instance, I never fully appreciated Sam's disco collar until now. I also haven't seen any of those well-lit promo shots before.

I did, of course, notice the wonderful bedhead and the debut of the EMF meter, bittersweet reminders that we never got to see truly rumpled hair or Dean's MIT-level technological expertise again. :( I also noticed this was the very first time we saw the boys in suits.

And I think we ALL fondly remember that camera shot of Dean sleeping!

Definitely, so many things to love about this episode. I loved the bedhead, so so so cute, but that camera move up Dean's sleeping form - nothing will ever top that one. So sexylicious.
