Ugly Duckling

I've just been watching a couple of season 1 episodes, one of which was 'Home', and I felt inspired to unearth this little old relic that I wrote some time ago and which was inspired by Missouri's throwaway comment in that very episode.

I suppose for that reason, it could be vaguely spoilery!

I was really cross about Missouri's comment - like Dean really needed another dent to his self esteem - so this drabble came out of my frustration with her!

I can't imagine Dean ever being an ugly duckling, but i love this insight into his childhood from that careless, thoughtless remark from Missouri. I liked her but I never understood why she was so mean to Dean.

This is lovely. That comment from Missouri always bothered me, because if you look at the little boy in the first episode, Dean was a cute little kid. So, if Dean was goofy looking, I wonder if Missouri might have had contact with the Winchesters later on when the boys were a little more grown.
