Here's a little double drabble I wrote for the drabble challenge over on Fanfiction.net this weekend, with a challenge word, 'travel'.

HOMECOMING

Sam has a pep talk with Dean after their epic journey to deal with Crowley.
Sam's POV

Dean, don't think I'm not sympathetic, because I am.

I know how much you hate travelling, and I know that was an amazing thing you did for Bobby back there. I know the flight from Scotland was nine hours long and really bumpy and that you puked three – or was it four - times, and I know the engines were making those weird noises halfway over the Atlantic that made it sound like the wings were falling off. Yes, and I know the food sucked, and that you'd seen the movie – like, twice - and it was crap both of those times too. And I know that the seat was real cramped so you couldn't sleep and now your back aches and your knees ache, and you've probably got deep vein thrombosis because of it. And I know you're pissed because they wouldn't let you practice an emergency evacuation before we took off, which yes, I guess is kinda mean, I suppose.

But the thing is, we're safely landed now, and we're in the middle of the airport parking lot, and it's busy and so could you please get up off your knees and stop kissing the car?

People are staring.

This really made me giggle! The description of Dean on the plane was so funny, but it was Dean on his knees kissing his Baby that cracked me up, and I could really imagine this all happening! Poor Sam!

I love the little punch line of Dean kissing his baby. I love the build-up of the nervous flyer Dean to the reveal of where they were. Very fun.
