Okay, so I'm in Denial.

You're probably all aware by now that Jensen and Jared have both been eliminated from the E!Online Alpha Male Competition for 2015.   Can you hear the faint sounds of the sky crashing down around you and the ocean freezing over?

This is the competition that Jensen has OWNED since it's inception in 2009, and what's particularly hard to swallow is the fact that he was done out of his rightful title by a group of people who have quite openly stated that they were voting not for his opponent, but against him, just to prevent him from winning again.  The worst thing is that some of these people came from within the Supernatural fandom :(

All I will say is that even with a concerted effort against him, Jensen still managed to make 48.8% and for that we can be proud of him.

Ultimately, we all know the truth.  We know that our boy doesn't need some survey to prove himself to the world ...

We tried hard, we really worked hard to get Jensen this win, but alas, our efforts just weren't enough. Sadly. But yes, the kicker was to learn that people within our own SPN family voted against Jensen because they were "tired" of him winning everything. That's just plain bollocks if you ask me. As someone just told me over on another post, those people in our SPN family that purposely voted against Jensen are not fans of Supernatural or our boys, otherwise they would have voted for Jensen regardless of his winning all the time, which he doesn't.

Jensen really is our only and true Alpha. Both onscreen and off screen, he has that magnetic presence that just screams out alpha. No boy from The 100 or newcomer from Outlander can take that away from him.

Jensen will always be our Alpha, but if they want they I'm ready to fight dirty. I say we band together to push Stephen Amell across the line, he's friends with the boys and to be fair I'd rather see him win than bloody Bob, or Sam from Outlander,

I third this. We don't need people like this in fandom, they just bring us all down. Its disgusting. So, yes, we need to vote for Amell and help to get him the win. He is by far a more appropriate second Alpha Male to Jensen their that boy Bob or Sam. They are just little pups when compared to Jensen.

Jesus Wept, I know I said make sure to vote for Jared too, but who in their right mind as a member of this fandom would vote AGAINST Jensen...even the Rabids love him, or I thought they did. God, really? And here I was thinking it was the producer/creator of The 100 simply using Twitter to galvanize his fanbase.

Shit like this is why I now wish I'd never even heard of this time-sucking, ultimately pointless "Who's the Prettiest?" contest. I stay AWAY from fandom wank, far, far away. It's just not worth the stress, and some online poll bragging rights isn't a worthy tradeoff, at least not for me. If this is what it's come to, then I think I'll just bow out of next year's, as well.

Take heart in this, if nothing else: there hasn't been one Tweet from Jensen, Jared, or even Misha about the poll this year. Between their families, "Keep Fighting," GISHWHES, and gearing up for an eleventh season, our guys have better things to focus on.

Amen to that (and thank you for putting it all in perspective). I was gutted that he lost (even though he surely couldn't care less) but the definite kicker is this news that supposed SPN fans were voting against him. I remember shaking my head in amazement over the things that went on in this fandom long before I was in this fandom, so I'm not sure why anything should surprise me. It's sad that some people are so bitter...

Seriously? SERIOUSLY?? I was gutted as well when Jensen didn't win. I kept voting and voting only to see his percentages go down. It was particularly annoying considering who he was up against. Then I learn that SPN "fans" were voting against him?! As far as I'm concerned, they're not fans. I'm not British, but I'm going to borrow a phrase and say that they can bugger off. (Did I use that correctly?)

Man, I just cannot process this. Thoroughly disgusted.

I'm still in shock that Jensen didn't get through and even more so that SPN 'fans' voted against him, but he's still my alpha and will be forever!
