Teeth Saga update.

I have news regarding my Mother in Law's missing teeth for those of you who are waiting eagerly for an update ...

(And that, right there, is possibly one of the weirdest things I've ever written)

They have been located, and safely returned home (presumably to said Mother in Law's mouth).  They were found ... wait for it ... on a table in the Village Cafe.

*facepalm*

The worst thing is, there's going to come a time when I have to show my face in there. *sigh*

At least they were found, right?? The thought of the teeth sitting out there like that, EWWWW. That would be weird finding some teeth like that though.

Yea, get hands clean, or to even put the teeth back in my mouth. That is what icks me out even more. Boiling them for an hour wouldn't be enough for me to put them back in the mouth.

Ewwww! I am pleased for her that they were found though! My sister's father-in-law was in an old folks home before he passed away and often had some other person's dentures in, which makes me feel quite ill!

You should write a story about this... where Bobby (or Rowena) have misplaced their teeth.

Okay, teeth stories ;)

My Nana had a full set of dentures, top and bottom, she always used to glue them in with something akin to wallpaper paste, and that stuff STUCK, like shit to the proverbial blanket, so how she managed to do this, I will never know but I am so fond of this memory it makes me cry laughing every time I think on it or tell it :)

She, my cousin Maddy and I were sat in the middle of Birdworld, I was about twelve, Maddy was nine, and Nana had made sticky buns for our outing along with the three thousand sarnies she always prepared for any day trip ;)

She bit into this colossus of a sticky bun, chowed down and went to tear the rest away with a ferocity of a starving t-rex...only to find that she had managed to STICK HER TEETH to the bun so well that they came away on the end of the sweet treat.

There she was, surrounded by other Nana's and families day tripping to see the pretty squawking birds, holding a sticky bun worth prizes at county fairs, with her dentures dangling off the end *GRINS*

I collapsed, fits of giggles, Maddy looked on in pained confusion as to why I was curled in a ball and Nana was swearing with that lispy way in which someone with no teeth does as they can't pronunciation properly...

She then proceeded to try and figure out logistically how to free her dentures from the snare; should she place the whole thing back in her mouth, should she remove her teeth by hand and get covered in ick and sticky ick, or should she place the whole thing in a sandwich bag and run for the nearest quiet corner!?!

To this day I can't bite into a sticky bun without first making sure that the bread has been severed from it's original position on the end of the roll.
