Jun. 5th, 2022 08:53 pmSo, it's been a delightful weekend. Because of the Jubilee, we've had two public holidays which were very welcome as far as I was concerned. Our weekend has been a mixture of relaxing and busy. It started off on a bad note on Thursday when I got up and saw that Nutmeg obviously wasn't himself. He was lethargic and showed absolutely no interest in his breakfast.
I kept an eye on him for an hour or so, and could see he was just lying around but kept shifting his position as if he was in pain and couldn't get comfortable. So I decided there and then to get him to a vet, as he was displaying some - although not all - of the classic signs of GI stasis (which is gut blockage or immobility) which can be very rapidly fatal in rabbits.
