Happy Post: At bloody last!
May. 16th, 2021 08:33 pmTomorrow, the next stage of unlocking is happening in the UK, and that means ... finally, after eight months of lockdown, I can go and visit my parents!
My parents have never embraced technology, and they dont have a computer or internet, so there's been no 'Zoom' option or anything like that, and that means basically that I haven't seen their faces since October last year, and they haven't seen mine. Obviously we speak on the phone and there has been letters and cards back and forth, but beyond that I've had no contact with them. hey keep saying they're ok over the phone, and I'm sure they are, but I need to see it with my own eyes.
Tomorrow can't come quick enough - and to make it even more bizarre, we'll be exchanging Christmas presents!
