Some exciting news from dapplegrey art

Well, I've been thinking for some time that I needed to redisgn the dapplegrey art website, and so last week when I went to update it with some show dates for this year, and saw a big flashing notice that said my website building software was about to become obsolete I thought, 'oh well, no time like the present!'

And so, I've just started what I've been putting off for far too long; the process of rebuilding the dapplegrey art website.  Hopefully, it's going to be a huge improvement on the old one which was six years old and starting to look a little bit tired!

But, being a complete techno-dunce, this isn't something that comes naturally to me, and I'm really rather excited about how it's shaping up so far.  So here's a little sneak peek ahead of the grand unveiling which will hopefully be in about a week's time!

One I'd got past all the bafflement of transferring my domain tot he new package and setting up an email, I was okay.That all took me about 3 hours over 5 phone calls to their support line. I think 1 & 1, my website hosting company must have a call centre in Mexico or sometthing, because everyone I spoke to had a realy thick hispanic accent, and when you don't know what you're talkling about anyway, our conversations were completely unintelligible at times!

Well done, it was worth it all in the end! It's so frustrating when you're phoning a helpline and there's an accent barrier! I have the same with mine except it's India and also another helpline I ring is in Scotland and I have trouble understanding a thick Scot accent too!

Yep. as I was saying to JJ above, now I'm past the techie stuff, and onot the creative stuff, I'm like a pig in doodah, I'm happy as anything, tinkering around. I can't wait until it's done - I'll be like a kid with a new toy :)
