Spring Cheer

The sky is blue, the sun is shining; in trees bursting full of leaves, the birds are singing merrily.  I saw the first bumblebee of Spring at the weekend, and am just about to eat my first Easter Egg :) 

It's a beautiful cheerful time of year full of hope and energy and baby animals ... happiness abounds. ...


So ... I decided to write something really depressing ... : '(

The challenge was to write from an inanimate object's point of view .... rather massive spoilers for 5.16, Dark Side of the Moon.
Someone, or something, remembers better times ...

It's dark where I am now.

I don't know where that is; I remember a trashcan on a shabby motel floor, but nothing more.

Some say I came from heaven; maybe so, but I enjoyed another heaven for many years.

Ever since that little boy hung me around his neck, and I rested against his warm chest, listening to his softly beating heart; I knew it was a good heart.

Things changed over time; the voice grew deeper, the neck grew thicker, the chest grew broader, but that soothing heartbeat never changed.

Then someone broke that heart.

speaking of the amulet, did you see this? This is me asking about it at the LA Con - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGeCJMSHFgE and as you can see, the question was avoided carefully by Jensen. Jared was about to say something about it and Jensen cut him off. And we all know what Kripke said about it at Paley *smacks EK on back of his head*

Oooh, (trying to read between the lines here), that sort of suggests that it might possibly be floating around somewhere ... guess we'll just have to wait and see *wrings hands and hopes* :)

Great idea and so well executed...who'd have thought we could mourn on behalf of the amulet as well as pine for it? :D

I know, poor little amulet. There's a big part of me that hopes it's tucked away in one of Sam's pockets or his duffel just waiting for the right time for him to give it back to Dean.
