The way he handles that wrench, it's enough to make a girl weep with joy.

A frisson of pleasure runs through me, throbbing through my every newly-tightened rivet as he runs his hand carefully over my gleaming paintwork.

His hot breath mists over my fender as he lifts the hem of his T shirt and buffs away a smear of wax. That's when I hear his voice, as soft and low as distant thunder; "looking good there, Baby."

Four little words meant just for me.

The terrible memory of those four other words; "it's just a car," are long gone.

After d!Dean's comments about Baby being "just" a car, it was absolutely wonderful to see him tinkering around in the engine last week, cleaning her up and getting her back to her glistening shape. I am sure she was also very happy to get the attention an old gal like her needs and deserves. This was just right.
