I'm really happy that I've managed to rekindle the instructional side of dapplegrey art, and got a couple of tutorials booked this Autumn (having gone a couple of years without doing any).

The tutorial I did last week was at the Frimley and Camberley Society of Arts and the subject was 'Animals in Pastel'.  It was a nice sized group (about 20 people) and they asked lots of good, interesting questions to keep me on my toes!

I chose a kitten as the subject because it was something quite simple, and I had a decent chance of delivering something close to a finished product.  In the end, I didn't quite finish, but I managed to get about three quarters of the way there.

Here's the link to the review that the FCSA did for my tutorial.

How awesome for you. Tell me, what is the difference with dapplegrey art as compared to other drawing art forms. Just curious.

dapplegrey art is not a technique, it's my trading name in respect of my art business.
I started out doing horse portraits, and so I chose an identity that reflected that, but over time, I began to diversify because I was getting asked to draw lots of other animals, not just horses. But the name stuck!

Oh, okay. I get it. I thought it was the name of your art business, but then when you started talking about classes, I got a little confused. Very cool, though, that you teach. That's awesome.
