Oh that's so sweet! She has put a lot of work into that picture, bless her. I used to sponsor a little girl years ago and it's a lovely way to help a child and see them grow too.
My eldest daughter just sent her first letter to our sponsor child Silhe, we only started two weeks ago, it's been something we've always wanted to do and finally just decided that there was nothing more important we could be doing with the money and that it was well overdue and only fair. A lot of Australians make comments about how charity should start at home but there is so much social welfare in this country and our current government is making huge cuts to foreign aid so any little step to redress that balance is a good thing. We have so much here and its far too easy to ignore how little others have.
