Mr D has recently redesigned and rebuilt our water feature. It now has a little pond, rather than gravel around it. It's rather lovely ...
By day

And by night

A couple of days ago, we were talking about it, and this little exchanged ensued:
Mr D: Now that we've got a little pond around our new water feature we should put some fish in it.
Me: Why not. They'll have plenty of room and the pump will keep the water circulating.
Mr D: Yes, and they can go under the gap behind the big rock to get out of the rain.
o.O
Really??????
Follow up from this:
Yesterday, we went out and bought six little fish for our new little pond. On entering the pond they all made a B-line for the now-infamous 'gap behind the big rock'. We haven't seen the little sods since!
*sigh*
