100 Days of Happiness - Day 97

I've been hard at it this evening - my eyeballs have practically shrivelled up, but finally I'm about 90% there on my latest commission - a black spaniel called Gunner.

Black animals are notoriously difficult to draw, so I've really had to keep my focus on this one, especially with such a short deadline (it's due at the end of august), but happy with it so far.

I'm hoping it's the first of many this Summer!

That's beautifully done honey, I know that same coloured animals, especially black are terribly hard to draw/paint but you've done a lovely job so far :D

Thank you - the pic is finished now (pending approval by his future owner) and his eyes are much brighter than they are here. The highlights in the eyes are always the last thing I do to a picture.
