100 Days of Happiness - Day 94

We did our little bit on Monday for the 'Lights Out'  to commemorate the centenery of the beginning of the first world war.  Here's our little tribute among my favourite horsey decorations before we moved the candles to the window.

I couldn't do it, I was unfortunatly at work, but some of the ladies and gents did it in their rooms whcih was lovely and very moving :)

Beautiful horse figurines. And a nice fitting tribute for the candles with the horses, as horses were such an integral part in the fighting at WWI.

They were, and were also huge casualties; over 8 million horses killed - almost as many as the men lost in that hideous conflict.
