100 Days of Happiness Days 85 and 86
Jul. 21st, 2014 08:38 pmIt was a very lovely, but exhausting weekend in Dizzo-land .
On Saturday, while I was accompanying my Mum to a wedding as her 'plus 1' (given that my Dad had run a mile at the mere mention of the word 'wedding'), my hubby and a couple of his chums were off drooling over aeroplanes at the famous Farnborough Air Show.
While he was there, he managed to take this amazing photo of his favourite plane, the Vulcan, crossing the disc of the sun. Awesome!

On Sunday, I accompanied my Mum home so I could get to spend some time with my Dad too. Here's my lovely Mum on the Isle of Wight ferry, heading over the sea to her home!

Date: 2014-07-22 02:53 pm (UTC)The Vulcan is pretty cool - we have a static one on display at work, as it was been based here in Lincolnshire for many years.
I hope your husband didn't get caught in any thunderstorms on Saturday - it was a bit touch and go with where they were going to form and I had a nightmare writing the forecast during the weekend. I even had one of the Red Arrows pilots on the phone on Saturday morning asking if they should change their display time at Farnborough because of the storms (amusingly he was in the middle of taking pictures with people while he was on the phone with me :P).

My hubby loves the Vulcan - he's a member of the Vulcan to the Sky club, and he's seen static vulcans at Coventry, Cosford and Duxford. I arranged for him to go inside the one at Coventry for his birthday a few years ago. He was one happy bunny!
