100 Days of Happiness - Day 81

Here's a new friend we met in the garden today.

We found him in the middle of our patio, and Mr D picked him up and put him in the undergrowth at the side of the garden so he wouldn't get spotted by any passing birds.

I had to smile when I thought that was the direction he'd come from, so he'd probably spent half the day working his way across the patio, only to get picked up and deposited where he started!.

Ah well, no-one ever said life was easy when you're a beetle!

Poor little dude! He's huge though, and he spent all that time mooching and you just dumped him back where he came from, I wonder what swearing sounds like in Beetle ;)

I absolutely hate bugs. How nice of your husband to pick it up and put it back in your garden. I probably would have squashed it. Don't like bugs or beetles.

I hate spiders, but I've got no problem with beetles. But even though I don't like spiders, I can't bear to kill them - I always get Mr D to evict them.

If I see a bug or spider in my apartment then I just get a paper towel, catch them and throw them away. No mercy from me, unfortunately. The other day here at work, besides the rat, there was this big huge bug on the floor that I just couldn't get near. I got a big mop, squished it ans waited till one of the guys came back into the office to dispose of it. I just couldn't do anything further. Yech!
