Dean's in a whole lot of trouble; what a good job Castiel's there.
"I believe the box said 'fragile'," Castiel observed.
"Yeah," snorted Dean; "thanks Sherlock!"
"Why, then, did you drop Sam's new laptop on the floor?"
"It was an accident," Dean snapped, scrabbling under the table for the shattered components; "I only borrowed it while he's in the bathroom."
"Perhaps he will not notice?" Castiel reflected; "actually no," he added, studying the unfortunate gadget's crumpled remains; "you are screwed."
Dean gasped, hearing Sam's footsteps approaching.
"Cas," he muttered; "remember how you wanted to learn about all aspects of human behaviour?"
Castiel nodded hesitantly.
Thrusting the wreckage into the bemused angel's arms, Dean turned and bolted.
"Good luck!"

Date: 2014-06-18 12:29 am (UTC)I'm curious. I've got a pathetically long case of writer's block going. Does writing drabbles as soon as an idea pops in your head keep your writing skills sharp? Maybe I should start small, 100 words at a time?

Date: 2014-06-19 12:07 pm (UTC)I belong to a drabble challenge community over on Fanfiction.net where a challenge word is posted every week, and that is usually enough to get my creative juices flowing drabble-wise.
It's such a great brain-training exercise, I've challenged myself to never miss a week as long as the challenge runs, and so far, I've been going for almost four years and maintained my 100% record!
