The Eyes Have It

They are variously referred to as 'limpid pools of emerald beauty'
Or, 'fanfiction green'
Or, 'soulful orbs of liquid Jade'
Or simply, 'absolutely fecking gorgeous'

Whatever you call them, it is my unparallelled delight to bring you an illustrated homage to those two most mesmerising windows to the sweetest of souls, a rhapsody in green.

I bring you Jensen's (and Dean's) eyes.

They're green.

Very, very green.

I mean, like, ridiculously green.



And very, very pretty.

They're surrounded by freckles.

But no-one seems to mind.

Jade green, moss green, emerald green, sea green, fanfiction green, grass green ... take your pick.



They have magical powers - they can melt ovaries with a single blink.

They usually come in pairs, but not always.

They can look happy.

Or sad.

Or confused.

Or, um ... yeah.

Sometimes they hide, but that's okay.

Did I mention they were green?

And really, really shiny.

See? Shiny, like staring into the sun.

Jensen's eyelashes are a designated health hazard and have been known to spear passing insects.

Sometimes Jensen likes to use them constructively when he's not torturing fangirls with them.

Torturing fangirls, see?

They can look really shy.

Or beautifully wistful.

They come free with bonus eye-crinkles.

Jensen's so good to us.

Sometimes they're really close up.

And sometimes they're further away.

But either way, they're still really, really green.

They have very pretty friends who are really, really blue.

And shiny too.

They have other pretty friends who are hazelly brown with a green tinge and hint of grey.

Oh, and a bit of blue as well.

But Jensen's are happy just being green.

My favorite is the one where he looks shy. Hell, just the idea that he could pull off a shy look when he's got so much to be confident about. Either he's a really good actor, or he truly is humble. Both sound good to me!

"Bonus eye crinkles." Wow, Jensen can put a positive spin on anything. They're just plain old wrinkles on the rest of us! :D

I think I should get it somewhere on my every gadget and look at this form time to time to feel more happy... although it could lead to me always looking into these so green (very green!!!) eyes! Happy, shy, shiny, with bonus eye-crinkles and surrounded by freckles, with friends or without them very green eyes!

Oh so lovely. I do love his limpid pools of green eyes. They are definitely eyes you can sink yourself into. Which is why is was so jarring for me to see his eyes black with the season 9 finale. I just can't look at his eyes when they are black, and I really hope that we don't see those eyes too much in the next season. I love his eyes so much, I hate to see them as anything else.

Yes, it was hard to see his eyes as black demon eyes. Part of me wants to get Dean back to how we love him as soon as possible and part of me wants to drag it out because I know Jensen is going to be awesome in acting the demon Dean part!

Jensen is going to be awesome in whatever he has to do with Demon Dean, and it will be interesting to watch. However, I just can't deal with him being evil and completely OOC for any amount of time. That will not be my (our) Dean. And I need our Dean.
