Well, here we are again, Snowflake challenge 2024 - happy new year everyone!. I love to do Snowflake Challenge, it feels like a nice positive reset for the new year.

I'm dizzojay, born in London in 1968, I still live in the UK, in the south-east of England. For over 13 years now, my online home has been Livejournal. It’s rather sad to see how things are tailing off there now, but such is the way of things I guess. I’m still hanging in there, and thankfully so are many of my lovely Lj friends, many of whom are with me here on Dreamwidth too!

If you venture across to my journal either here or on Lh you will find a mixture of fan fiction, art (whether it be fanart or other art), and Jensen Ackles/Dean Winchester appreciation. This is all together with various musings on such diverse subjects as my two adorable little ratbags housebunnies Juniper and Nutmeg, the wit and wisdom of my long-suffering other half (Mr D), conventions, fandom, and other general absurdities from the life of Dizzo.

Even though Supernatural has been done and dusted for over three years, I am still an avid fan. Supernatural owns my heart and always will. Although I am a 100% Dean girl, I am also a lover of the overall phenomenon that is J2 - I'm an equal opportunities fandom perv. In the last couple of years, I have also developed a love of Eric Kripke’s ‘The Boys’, with a particular soft spot for Soldier Boy. (Anyone noticing a pattern here?)

My little corner of fandom is my happy place, and even though Supernatural is no longer with us, it will live on at my journal.

I have over 1000 Supernatural fics posted at Fanfiction.net, most of which are drabbles, and I'm in the process of transferring many of these over to my AO3 account, I also have quite an extensive collection of fan art, both traditional and digital, over on Deviant Art.

So that's me, and here's to another Snowflake challenge!

I love what I've seen of Supernatural! So far just the first 5 seasons a few times, and bits and pieces of the rest. Not because I wasn't enjoying it anymore, but because it just had such a satisfying ending and I know there is a lot of heartache and misery to follow that will be waiting for me when I'm ready. ❤️❤️

Thank you - they were just a fun accessory for a group photo with friends - my normal glasses are far more ordinary!! :)

Yes, he sure is. If you imagine the more twisted aspects of Supernatural, The Boys is what happens when Eric Kripke has no limitations on his imagination!

those glasses are so cute!

i keep meaning to watch the boys (karl urban my beloved) (yes, yes, jensen too, but he doesn't show up until s3) but i was cautioned that the first episode is really violent and i can't get past that. >.< and i've watched violent tv before! whole seasons of it! i need to just... do it.

I love The Boys, but I can totally see that it wouldn't be for everyone.
If it's in any way helpful, the violence and gore is SO over the top, that it's almost like graphic novel-type violence/gore
