I'm so delighted Snowflake challenge is back!

So fandom-wise, I'm still active in the Supernatural fandom although my participation has dropped off quite a lot, but I think that's fairly standard. Participation in the Spn fandom in general has dried up a great deal..   I’m still writing some Supernatural fanfic, although it’s not flowing so freely now, and I'm still doing a fair bit of Supernatural fan art.  Despite all that Dean Winchester still is, and always will be, the fictional love of my life!

I have been following Jared and Jensen in all their new projects, and although Walker and the Winchesters unfortunately didn't really capture my imagination, I absolutely adored Soldier boy and the Boys, and also enjoyed Beau Arlen in Big Sky, which pleasantly surprised me as I'm not usually into cop shows.  Having said that, I've always said I could watch Jensen read a shopping list and sill be captivated!

I've been to two Boys conventions and that inspired me to do some Boys fan art, and I've also been to my usual round of Spn conventions including Jus in Bello in Rome. I don’t however, see myself as being active in the Boys fandom as I ever have been in the Supernatural fandom.

My fanfiction is all housed at Fanfiction.net and AO3.

My current fandom home is still Livejournal with a back-up account at Dreamwidth, so come visit, everyone's welcome :)

I didn't know Jensen was in Big Sky! I watched the pilot (I don't thiiiink he was in that?) and then forgot about the show entirely. I've been missing him and Jared. I missed out! Although, I just looked it up and saw that it's canceled so at least I dodged being disappointed by that? lol

No Jensen was in the final episode of season 2 and all of season 3, and then it was cancelled :(
I didn't watch the episodes he wasn't in, but I enjoyed the ones he was!

I think it's an AWESOME testament to how fabulous the show was, and even the fact that there ARE still people writing for it years later further provides testament to that. Sadly, though, it IS to be expected that there will be less and less new creations the longer we are away from the show's end. Very few ended shows manage to maintain active fandoms afterward, which I do believe is a crying shame. You'll notice I write quite often for ended shows myself...

Looking forward to trying The Boys one day, and The Winchesters, but I just can't do Walker after everything they've redone to make the new show... I always got into the first Walker, anyway, for the sidekicks (the minor ones, not Trivette, but mainly Syd, Gage, Carlos, and Trent, in that order) and the Native American stuff.

It is a testament that Supernatural still has such an active fandom, even if it's smaller than it was a few years ago. There are some factions of fandom that I wish would be LESS active, but we can't all get everything we want, hey?

I hope you get the chance to have a go at writing for the Boys. I can't really comment on the Walker thing, because I've ever seen a single episode of the old Chuck Norris version! :)
