Today I finally got to open and play with my birthday present from Mr D :)


A Kindle Fire so I'll have something bigger than my smartphone to read fanfic and ogle Jensen on when I'm on the move :)



And as if that wasn't cool enough ...

I have a Nook that I keep all my fanfics on. It's a great resource, and so easy to carry around with me to have a fic at my easy disposal. Lovely things these new gizmos are, aren't they. Just love technology sometimes.

The kindle came with a very practical black case, but it was boring - and I don't do boring!

Technology is fantastic these days, isn't it - it's amazing being able too have the contents of an entire bookcase on a little gadget the size if a wallet!!

It is amazing to have books and such in a little hand held gadget. If I were to print out all the stories that I have currently on my Nook, the paper alone would probably fill a bookcase full of notebooks, not to mention the cost it would be for the paper and notebooks. Which is what I was doing in the beginning, and changed my mind because of the expense and just purchased a Nook. The cost of the Nook did far outweigh what the cost would have been for me on paper and notebooks. Not to mention having to lug them around. This way I can keep all my favorite stories with me when I go on trips or what not. Very very handy.
