100 Days of Happiness - Day 16

This is what I found on Christmas morning 2009 when I opened a present from one of my bestest buddies.
"Oh," I said absently to Mr D, "that looks OK - let's give it a try it after dinner when all the soap opera crap comes on the telly."
And so, around 6pm Christmas day, 2009, we settle down with a box of chocs and a glass of wine and Barry pops the first DVD in the player.

The rest, as they say, is history!



Of course it makes me happy!!!

What a spectacular gift. So, I must ask, was your friend a fan of the show already, or was your buddy new to SPN as well, and just decided to try this show out.

No, not at all. She'd never seen it or heard of it, the same as me. She only picked it out because she knows 'I like sci-fi, fantasy, supernatural-ly sorts of things'. As far as I know, she's never watched the show, I don't think it's her thing, and when I showed her a picture of Sam and Dean from (I think) season 2, she just glanced at it and said, "nah, too young!"

She might appreciate them more now they've matured a bit, but I don't think it's really her genre!

She remains one of my treasured friends who remains outside of my Supernatural circle :)

Well, isn't that wonderful. How fortuitous of your friend to have such forsight into thinking you might like this show. Little did she know when she gave you the gift what kind of an impact that small little gift would have on your life. That's awesome. Makes me smile.

A guy can be too young, but we can still love their looks, right?! You should show her a picture of what they look like now. J2 have matured very well, into very handsome men. How could one NOT appreciate their looks now. OMG! Especially Jensen. Our bright shining star. :)
