Juniper's guardian angel!

dizzojayJuniper was a poorly girl on Wednesday evening.
From the signs she was giving off, I guessed it was the onset of GI stasis, which is a gut blockage or immobility. It's a fairly common problem in rabbits which can often be caused by gas or furballs but it can become very lethal very quickly.
I managed to secure an emergency vet appointment, but my car is currently off the road with a gearbox problem and Mr D hadn't got home from work yet, so I had to call upon the help of my lovely neighbour and bunny auntie, Becky, who stepped up to the plate and very kindly drove us through the rush hour to the vet.
Happy to say that thanks to rapid intervention and Becky's invaluable help, my adorable little moo-bag appears to be fully recovered and is back on form and eating for England!
