All good answers. I think soccer never caught on in the US because it lacks breaks for ads. No company wants to support a sport where they can't advertise so TV stations aren't interested since they don't get the ad dollars. Also, like you, I find it boring. I love baseball and tennis. Soccer is played though in nearly every elementary school here.d
We don't have a lot of AC in homes in New Hampshire because it's rarely hot enough to warrant it. When it's muggy, we use fans.
The age I enjoyed most was 50. I left Reader's Digest in NYC, moved to NH and bought a beautiful home on 26 acres. I was still young enough to do everything I wanted to the house and grounds and thought I would always be able to. Big shock: Getting to my age really sucks. Whoever coined the term "The Golden Years" to describe old age was seriously misguided.
