Musings on Walker

dizzojaySo, I watched my first episode of Walker today. Unfortunately, because I've taken so long to get round to watching, the links that I was given for episodes 1 and 2 have expired, so my introduction to Walker was episode 3.
I suppose as much as I want to support Jared, and I really do, I have to say I've been feeling a little bit indifferent about the show. Especially over recent weeks and months, as more information has been being released about it. Ask me to list my top five TV 'things to avoid'; cop shows, angsty teens, family soap-opera-style dramas ... they'd all be right up there. But, I still needed to see what it was all about. And today I did.
First thing, I guess, is that whenever I saw Jared, and heard his voice, I still see and hear Sam. But it's early days yet.
It's only been one episode, so I need to see more, but I'm just not feeling it yet. Not caring about any of the characters yet; apart from Walker I don't even remember any of their names. I ended up spending a bit of the episode working on my laptop, only looking up when I heard Jared's voice.
For the record, Jared looks very trim, very tall and very fine!
I'll persevere, because I want to do that for Jared. Obviously I'll buy the DVD when it comes out. But this is not another Supernatural for me. I know that already.
