If these two came trick or treating at my house, I'd give them all my candy; they're so cute! :D

EDIT: You inspired this bit of wee!chester ficcage. XD

Trick or Treat, Winchester Style
By kira

Author’s note: This was inspired by Dizzojay’s Halloween manip of our favorite boys.

Dean held Sammy hand as they left their room at the Wayward Inn. He felt stupid in the pumpkin costume he had “borrowed” from the Halloween store that had sprang up seemingly overnight, if what he had overheard was true. Unfortunately, it was too big for Sammy, so he ran down to the drugstore and picked up a skeleton costume. As much as Sammy had wanted to be a pumpkin too, the only pumpkin costume left was for dogs. He wished he still had the costume Mom had made him when he was around Sammy’s age, but that was left behind in the remains of their home. He sighed.

“Dean?”

He looked down at his little brother. “What?”

“You look sad.”

“Oh.” Dean grinned. “I was just thinking you’d probably get more candy than I will.” He ruffled his brother’s hair.

Sammy laughed. “That’s b’cuz I’m cute!”

“Yup!” Dean had to admit Sammy was right; he was cute. Giving Sammy’s hand a tug, Dean said, “Come on, let’s go trick-or-treating.”

“Yay!”

They walked to the next room over and knocked on the door.

“Trick or treat!”

A barely dressed woman opened the door. She fussed over Sammy, before going back into her room. She returned a minute later with a handful of change and a stick of gum. “Sorry, that’s all I have.”

“It’s okay, ma’am,” Dean said politely. He pushed Sammy forward and she dumped the treats into his pillowcase. “Thanks.”

Things pretty much went the same way as their first stop, except for the odd “Go away, you pesky kids!” They got lucky when they encountered one of the maids, who was busy, cleaning an empty room. She handed them each a handful of the cheap chocolate mints the housekeeping staff put on the pillows when they cleaned the room. When they came to the came to the motel’s front office, the front desk clerk felt so bad for them, that he sent someone from housekeeping to get some candy. Both boys could not believe their luck, when they were each handed a bag of candy.

“Thanks!” the boys cried.

“You ready?” Dean said.

Sammy nodded. Taking Dean by the hand, the brothers walked back to their room, eager to enjoy their Halloween treats.
