Cruising the Nile sounds fascinating. I had never heard of cruising there. What were your ports of Call. Sounds like it would be lots of fun.

The Nile cruise was fascinating, I'd love to do it again when the situation settles down in the middle east.
Obviously, I don't remember the whooping cough thing. Apparently I'd only just had the vaccination. I don't know if it's my Mum overdramatising things about how ill I was, but it was definitely a hospital job!

The Nile cruises are great fun, and quite overwhelming when you consider the history and culture around you. Especially so for me because my Grandad had been stationed in Egypt for six years during the war. He'd had the opportunity to do some sightseeing, and I'd seen his photos. It was amazing to go to these places and stand in the places where my Grandad had stood fifty years previously!

It was a brilliant trip. We cruised from Luxor down to Aswan taking in Karnak, Dendara, Philae, Edfu, Kom Ombo, The Valley of the Kings, The Collossi of Memnon and The Temple of Hatshepsut.

I'd like to go back and visit Cairo when the political situation calms down out there!
