Drawing: I've done this since I was an infant. Creativity is at the core of my being, and drawing, along with writing, is how it manifests itself. It's something I'm absolutely passionate about, and I can't even begin to tell you how much joy and satisfaction it brings me.
Dapplegrey art: this is an extension of the above. Dapplegrey art was borne out of a long-standing curiosity as to whether I could sell my art 'on spec' rather than on commission. I'd been thinking about it for years, then a few years ago, I saw a film in which a character said 'Failure is never quite so frightening as regret'. That line really resonated with me, and a couple of years later ... dapplegrey art came into being!
Dean: What can I say? My beautiful sexy, sassy, cute, flawed and frightened Dean. My life has never been the same since I discovered him.
David Tennant: The tenth Doctor, and the best!
Douglas Adams: Hilariously brilliant, one of the greatest creative minds of our age. Taken far, FAR too soon.
The Dish: A delightful funny Australian movie - Aussie humour tickles my funny bone like no other. Loved it from the first time I saw it and still love it now. It's the film I referred to above in 'dapplegrey art' and as such, has a very special place in my heart!
Dear friends: I love my friends dearly; with the exception of my most immediate family, they are the most important people in my life. Bobby was absolutely right (because Bobby's ALWAYS right) when he said 'family don't end with blood'.
Dizzo: I like being 'Dizzo'. Don't get me wrong - I don't dislike being 'Jane', but being 'Dizzo' is much more fun. 'Jane' is a nice enough person, but she's the me that has to be on my 'good daughter' best behaviour when I visit my parents, and she has to go to work and pay the bills. 'Dizzo' is the me that doesn't have to adult. 'Dizzo' is the me that meets friends, goes to cons, and plays silly buggers on Livejournal.
Difficult: 'D' is a difficult letter!
