Day 15 - a song that is a cover by another artist.

No contest for this one; The Sound of Silence by 'The Disturbed'.  I always loved (and still do love) the original.  I always thought it was such a beautiful soft melody and a lovely, timeless song.  But when this version came along, it's so visceral and haunting, I realised I'd never actually sat and listened to the lyrics before.  But this version, because it's so angry and emotional, almost forces you to listen to the lyrics and I can honestly say, I had NO IDEA that the Sound of Silence was such a dark and melancholy song.

I am absolutely mesmerised by this version, especially with this evocatively bleak and dystopian video; and as much as I love the original, it just can't compare.
