Starting my new job (if by job you mean "doing research on fanfiction, fandom and participatory culture together with fellow slash fan professor" for a substantial pay") 1 st April, I've had far too little time to be IN fandom, so it was great to sit down and look at LJ, getting this wonderful update as the first thing on my f-list.
Congrats on your good luck and the new awesome place. It sound like a great and supportive and friendly workplace; really couldn't get much better than that.
And why am I not the least surprised that you didn't hear anything from old!work... *sigh* I hope your girls are all doing well, despite the annoying Gaz.
