I got my first leaving present today from Rachel,  a sweet lady who works in the Care Centre who will be on holiday when I leave next week.

Those of you who have been following my diatribes regarding Gaz, the Dicknob Boss, may remember this particular gem from one of my earlier posts, when he humiliated me in a meeting in front of about fifteen other people, including Rachel ...


When it was suggested that a central accident log needed keeping and I suggested that as the HR Director was the Director responsible for Health and Safety, perhaps the log should sit with him.  He shot me a look that would freeze mercury and said 'I don't think that's a very good use of my time, do you?'


Rachel was as appalled as everyone else who was at that meeting, and that particular statement has become something legendary among the care centre managers, and not in a good way. So today, Rachel presented me with a pretty gift bag and kissed me goodbye, asking me not to open it until he wasn't around.






I still haven't stopped laughing!

Someone should have given him one the day after the meeting (since he's probably forgotten by now). Of course, the point would probably fly completely over his head. He seems like the kind of guy who misses the obvious stuff. ;)

Thank you. To cut a very long story very short, my department go a new Manager in November and he's vile to us. I'm the third to leave, there are only two more to go, and I really hope they find something soon.

Oh, that's too funny. So, what is a good use of his time. Snubbing and not paying attention or talking to employees under his charge? Yea, thought so.

When I think I have heard it all, you report of yet some other dickwad move he has made that completely astounds me. YAAY! you are gone from him, but I do feel sorry for those that still have to endure his idiocy.
