Sam groaned, mashing his pillow over his face; if he couldn't smother Dean, then maybe he could smother himself – at least then he'd get some sleep.

He let out a muffled sob into the faded fabric and punched the mattress in frustration.

ZZZ-Zzzz-ZZzzz-hngGGggh-Ppbhww- zZZzzzZZ . . .

Having their own space at the bunker had made Sam forget the delights of sharing a motel room with Dean and his stuffed sinuses.

hkh-zzzzzz-hkh-zzzzzzzz-hkh-hkh-zzzzz …

And the worst thing was, he knew what came next.

Zzzzzz … *snort* … "jeez Sammy, quit tossin' and turnin' will ya; you're keepin' me awake."
