Snowflake Challenge - Day 2
Jan. 2nd, 2018 08:19 pmDay 2 - In your own space, share a favorite memory about fandom: the first time you got into fandom, the last time a fanwork touched your heart, crazy times with fellow fans (whether on-line or off-line), a lovely comment you’ve received or have left for someone.
Wow. I've sat here like a daft lump for ages trying to sift through my treasure-trove of fandom memories to find one to recall here, and it's not an easy task!
But, I'm going to go with a specific memory of Asylum 14 back in 2015.
A group of us were at the hotel waiting for the start of Jason Manns Saturday night concert where we knew Jensen was going to be singing. He had never sung at a concert in the UK before, and although a few of us had been fortunate enough to see Jensen sing before in Rome, most people in the room hadn't and as a result the excitement was palpable.
It was magical to share such a special occasion with great friends, and we were all varying degrees of elated, thrilled and overcome with emotion by the end of the concert.
