Writer's Block: Taking it on the road

London to Copenhagen, three days driving each way.
Passed the time by stopping off and sampling opportunities to eat and explore in five different European countries; France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Denmark.

It was a great fun experience; it's not often you are required to say thank you in four different languages in one day!

Having a go at technical stuff ...

Every day I come on Lj and every day I am amazed and astounded by the fabulous computer art that you clever lot can produce, and every day I consistently fail to have even the vaguest idea of how it's done.

However, talking to one of my lovely Lj friends, I've been pointed towards a programme called GIMP which does all the wizzy art stuff, is supposedly fun and easy to use, and above all, free!

So a couple of weeks ago, I decided to take the plunge and downloaded it; since then have been fumbling, swearing and flailing my way around it.

So here is my first ever attempt at a piece of technological photo-fiddly art; and by the way, I still don't have the faintest clue about what I'm doing .. this all kind of fell together more by luck than judgement!
