100 Days of Happiness - Day 68

This afternoon, there was a sudden and very heavy storm over my home village.  As the rain was easing off, the oppressive black sky was brightened up by a rainbow - didn't come out very well in this pic, but you can just see it in the top right hand corner!

You can see it and the contrast of the sun on the white house and the black sky is striking.

It came over so dark, it was almost like twilight and it should have been broad daylight!

That's a very impressive sky, I bet the rainbow was stunning. I think someone forgot to tell the weather it's flaming June now and not March!!

It was beautiful; but by the time I'd run indoors and got my camera, it had faded!

That's absolutely true - before this rain the air was so thick, it was like breathing treacle, but afterwards, it was fresh and electric. I adore after-storm air!
