I was looking back over my Fanfiction account and I came across this little relic; it was one of the first drabbles I ever wrote, and I've always been rather fond of it!

CLOTHES MAKETH THE MAN

Sam opened the laundry bag and sighed; it was a paltry collection.

Eight shrunken T shirts with holes under the armpits

Four ancient pairs of jeans mottled with indeterminate stains;

One fleece hoodie with bald patches;

Thirteen odd socks;

One smoke damaged jacket;

Two pairs of sweatpants with no elastic;

Six moth-eaten plaid shirts with half the buttons hanging off;

It was when a freshly showered Dean appeared through the bathroom door sporting a threadbare pair of blue boxers with a very unfortunately placed hole that Sam bowed to the inevitable.

"Dude, we have GOT to buy some new gear!"

Aw I don't remember noticing the smoke damaged jacket last time (probably distracted by that hole in Dean's boxers...but this time it made my heart ache for Jess, imagining this was the jacket he was wearing when Dean pulled him out of the fire...

Well, after Dean emerged from the shower I dare say my reaction to Dean is quite different than how Sam reacted. ;D

Yet another fic that I wish I could see on the show. The camera would of course give us the back view of Dean, but Sam's reaction shot would be worth it!

I believe it would have to get to this point for us to see these two in a clothing store! It makes me wonder how Castiel went about finding changes of clothes, because he sure didn't learn it from Sam and Dean.
