My cousin texted this great old picture that she found recently while she was sorting some papers out.


It's my 21st birthday party back in 1989, and the five lovely ladies with me are:

My Mum's best friend  from school, I knew her as Auntie Sue

I take that as a huge compliment, because I think my Mum is a very pretty lady. In some pictures I look like her, in others I look far more like my Dad. It's all in the angles :)

Hey!
No, believe it or not, I didn't have a perm - my hair really was that curly when I was younger, and I hated it! It was only after it started to go grey that it lost its curl, although it's still very thick and wavy.

My aunt Philomena is Irish - that's a classic Irish name - she's my Mum's brother's wife!
